HAPPYNEWYEAAAAHH to all!

Allan Carrasco gets the spotlight for the post-holidays FIGONE releases!
Here's Capt’N Sapo, an already must-own “Allanesque” model...

This version has been painted by the Marc Masclans, a young Spaniard, whose name you'll see many more times this year.
This model will be the subject of a painting challenge which I'll let you know about soon...

Text by Yannick Degiovanni:

”Captain Sapo leads the Sewerworker Brigade with his palmed hand.
He's torn between the ambient darkness of the tubes and the greasy aroma of the machines which dot the small isolated rooms, like abandoned isles.
The water leaks in the various underground tunnels, the diffuse light of the torches barely piercing the confined air.
Only Team Frog is at ease in this element, like a tadpole in muck.
On this Fall morning, captain Sapo, a wry smile on his lips, gathered his troops for a new fumes-clearing mission in the DesTop-12 zone.
It'll be a gas!
Available, as usual, on the FIGONE store.”

If you’re curious, this picture explains why I dont show new projects since months
Soon …
You can also discover wich part of the world I ll cycle...

See you soon, JerMs

Introducing The Sapo Challenge, featuring the latest bust sculpted by Allan Carrasco for Figone Miniatures.

No sooner had we revealed the WIP pictures of this figure than some painters were already remarking on the creative potential of this bust which just cries out to be painted.

The range of possibilities offered by this magnificent piece should allow us to build an impressive gallery of painted examples and compare the styles and creativity of those turning their brush to the model. We therefore decided to organise a little challenge!

Rules:

• Each participant should send one or two pictured of their painted miniature before midnight CET, 31 marsh 2014 to jbonamant@yahoo.fr

• Each picture will be displayed in the Figone Facebook gallery and the website.

• Conversions are encouraged so don’t be shy

• The entrants will be judged by Allan Carrasco himself

So what’s in it for you?

Well…how about Allan’s next miniature for Figone; that’s to say the rather large miniature ROCCO (you already seen on it on Indiegogo) for the winner?

A number of other prizes will also be awarded depending on the number of participants.
So what are you waiting for?

Verus, small slave of Mesie, son of a slave, was working with his father under a dry and dusty sun. A slave trader spotted the young boy, strong for his age, and paid good money to his master to acquire him. A long journey to Rome the eternal followed.
At the gladiators market in the town square, the trader rubbed his hands: he sold Verus to a lanista for a substantial profit. Verus passes through the gateway of the ludus to starts his new life. He is barely 14 years old.
Two years follow during which he learns to be a gladiator, through training and increasing his body strength. At 16, he survives his first tournament in the arena. The first fight, the most dangerous.
Verus, small slave of Mesie, son of a slave, will build his legend in the circus. At the coliseum, he will earn his freedom.

All aspects of the hobby are at an insane level in this topic! Do you guys make tutorials on how you sculpt these projects? I always continue to have trouble with green stuff

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Hello everybody!
While awaiting the announcement of the winner of Rocco challenge, here is some Figone news:
For starter a very nice visual of Bill Tcherno:
 http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/bill.jpg
The most observant one will recognize the inspiration taken from Raffaele Picca, who’s interpretation of “King Maulg” few years back was outstanding.
http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/maulg-de-raffaele-picster-picca/maulg_raffaele_picca-0.jpg
In case you want to give a stab at drawing, here’s an excellent website I stumbled upon:
https://www.facebook.com/TutoriaisDeDesenho?ref=stream
Due to some parts cracking during the first casting of Carmina, the miniature give-away to Rocco’s buyers, the deliveries will be a bit delayed.
I hope to be able to handle the shipping to all of you by the end of May!
Little musical interlude if your heart is so inclined: a little montage of my duo with Nathalie ESCALE ORDINAIRE (MEdley Lyon 2014) http://youtu.be/uH_ftFRwY50

And to en end this newsletter, I give you a selection of the best Figone pieces I happened to see circulating these past years.

I am almost done with the dossier I am preparing

B’bye

Jérémie

I'm a little surprised that we're not seeing your Crystal Brush entry for this year.

Was it a scratch build? And if it was, did you cast her, so that the rest of us can have one?

Hello guys,
Just a small post to keep you informed on Figopedia's campaign.
We've just unlocked the first stretch goal and the second one is pretty close!

The next one will give us more work: 8 more pages!
But the real objective will be to reach the third stretch goal for a new mini!

Hello fellows!
3 days left and the fourth stretch goal has been unlocked. Well.
We've decided to recycle an idea previously discarded for a last stretch goal at 30000€.

You're pledging for a book. So what could be more useful than a bookmark to keep track of where you are?

Then this will be the last stretch at 30000€. An exclusive Figopedia bookmark, only available through Indiegogo.

A book, a mini, three stickers... and maybe a bookmark for 35€ shipping included... worth the bargain!
