Well, Pask did fall to gauss, but the other ones didn't. In any case, it wouldn't have been a problem if I would have been able to kill his stuff. The only reason that the arks wandered forwards, rather than hiding in the backfield like they usually do was because my army had already been crushed beyond redemption after my opponent's first two turns.

Had the game gone more like it usually does against this particular opponent, then yeah, I probably never would have had a gauss weapon touch my russes.
