Ravener's are woefully flimsy regardless of what they're doing. The only hope they have is not being noticed...

Neither can assault on arrival. Only the Ymgral can in the nid codex. Ymgral packs are pretty nasty if a bit glass cannon. I find I have to be very careful to not wipe units smaller than maxed out boyz.

Reason why beast pack = cheesy is due to 2++ invuln from Baron with reroll from Farseer. Baron also gives stealth and Hit and Run, which when massed with cheap 5 attack base rending models at 15 each causes problems. Otherwise really scary from DE is the 10 model strong grotesques (never seen it run) and Reavers in general being able to get in and out of range dropping some D6 S6 auto hits

what i mean't is that they can shoot the turn they arrive...depending on the bio weapons that could lead to some very dead enemy units, with stat line similar to a marine (minus save) raveners don't really need to DS (as they amonst the fastest units in the game not a jetbike/bike or fast vehicle/flyer) , only x3 out of the 9 need to be armed for CC to be effective in the CS, i was thinking of a pop up attack group. deep strikes and rips a hole in enemy battleline (i have often done so to friends eldar and anothers GK army)

All Raveners have to be armed the same.
And they don't have a Marine statline. That have more Wounds, double the point cost (approximately) and a worse armor save.

If 9 Raveners are making "very dead enemy units" your opponents need to stop running bare henchman squads.
