Wow, people will try to make a quick buck anywhere they can from suing somebody else, huh? Another post where I get to reestablish my opinion that some people shouldn't have kids. The parents suing over yoga being religious are ridiculous. It's a form of exercise and relaxation, that, yes, comes from another group of people that practice a religion other than what most Americans practice. Stupid parents, please! Get out of my country.

And anyone who wants this to be a Christian bashing thread, my family is Christian (well, Catholic/Christian mix) and everyone practices Yoga except me. Can't stand it myself, but they all love it. Religion has nothing to do with it.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

That never happened to us in cali. It was sports all day. Only time we sat was the first two days because no one had clothes. And the occasional rainy day when the gym was under repair.

I read this post totally differently than you meant it.

We alternate between sports and running in my PE and I enjoy it quite a bit. Can't say I'm a fan of putting yoga in elementary school P.E programs, I mean when I was in elementary my friends and I ran around playing "Zombies", "Lava Monster", or trying to get away with throwing sticks and rocks etc.

Kinda off topic, but Catholicism is a sect of christianity and thus catholics are a type of Christian. Saying catholics are of a different religion than Christians is like saying half my family drives Mazdas and the other half drives cars.

I believe you mean Catholic/Protestant mix.

There are so many people out there that consider Catholics to be entirely separate from other Christians, so I figured I'd just save the trouble.

Yoga started as a practice of Hinduism.

This could get interesting. The school says the only thing they are doing is teaching stretching and breathing, much like the school Yoga my daughters studied. If the case is made, I wonder if martial arts or choir will next be targeted because of their association and with monasatries in the past and present.

Perhaps the school will win the case.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Lol, I know what you mean.

So, even though I'm not sure I support yoga in elementary, I don't think it is sue-able. My lord the stupid people who will sue a knife company for cutting themself with a knife.
