See taking my comment out of context. I was just saying that I know the rules thru all different editions. And if you read the vector strike rules it states that it counts as a -1 shooting attack in the following shooting phase, that is what I have been trying to comment about. But everyone has an opinion on it and was just trying to argue my interpritation oif the rule. The meteoric strike rule should say that it is a cc attack of some sort, then it would make sense. That's ll. Sorry that my opinion doesn't warrant discussion.

It says it counts as firing one weapon. You have three left.

I've been playing since Rogue Trader. I win!

There is actually room for debate on the weapons firing but it's off topic.

As for the OP I just wanted to make sure you also know he can't leave battlefield airspace the same turn it enters it.

Q: Can a Flyer or Flying Monstrous Creature Leave Combat
Airspace on the same turn that it entered play from
Reserves/Ongoing Reserves? (p49/81)
A: No – the owning player must deploy and move their Flyer
or Flying Monstrous Creature in such a way that this does
not happen.

I tend to concur. You can only leave combat airspace during a Zoom move.

The Flyer is still Zooming when moving flat out in the shooting phase.

The Flyer is Zooming until you pick Zooming or Hovering (If it has Hover) in your next movement phase.

Your opinion has no rules backing, as it does not say it counts as firing THAT weapon. You are allowed to fire 4 weapons, you VS so can fire 3. Now find a RULE saying that it counts as firing the flamer / cannon.

If you read the tenet you will see you are required to back up your argument with rules. You have not done so, and instead tried to claim that playing the game for 19 years makes you an Authority. Along with the other fallacies you committed this is the Appeal to Authority fallcy

Thats what I was running into; the guy was bringing his heldrake in vector striking then flying off the board all in 1 turn. Cool I can reference that now in case I run into it again.

Sounds like pending FAQ though for the most part on this.

Thank for the info

I enjoyed reading this thread,
and just feel like leaving my two cents,
I play against 3 heldrakes all the time

and still i completely disagree with azuredeath
if you read all the rules its clear as day, you can can fire both

also ive been playing only for a couple months,
since everyone seems to have a hard on for who played the longest
