Messy0 wrote:Dude, im so happy i have found this thread. Iv been stacking parts to try and recreate your suits for a while (if i can make them look half as good ill be a happy camper).
Iv got the typhoon sponsons, the dreadnought leg plates and im trying to get my hands on some stealth suit shoulders for the head (which is my favorite part) I was wondering, where did you get the plate for the back of the pelvis? I really cant figure out what part of a dreadnought its from and cant find the bits anywhere. Do you know of any alternative bits i could use for the back of the pelvis?
Any advice you got to help me try and mimic (if badly) your work would be great!
Hey Messy! I would be happy to help. http://www.spikeybits.com/servlet/the-3219/Dreadnought-Shields-Set-of/Detail These are the Dred shields I was talking about.
As for how I built this thing: http://www.advancedtautactica.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=18414&sid=4963a05b1e28317fa9141e152d549d21&p=245006#p245006 That is a link to the tutorial I am writing on how to create my conversion here.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Hey dude, i have just completed the Torso and Jet pack. Will be working on the Head tonight. Any chance you have any tutorians on how you done the legs and arms along with the posing tutortial. Its looking great already! Ill be sure to post some pictures when its done.
Thanks again for the awesome tutorials sofar. It a complicated conversion but not as hard as it looks if you have the right tools, i reccomend anyone who wants a cool suit to give it a go.
(p.s) i found a substitution solution to the dreadnought shield plating, ill be sure to include a picture of that too. Automatically Appended Next Post: Orinoco wrote:mang, where are the shouldpads from? They look really good.

The shoulder paldrons are quite easy to get hold of, they are the leg plates from imperial dreadnoughts.

Dude I think these are some of the best 40k conversions I have seen. Those are what the Tau suits should have looked like all those years ago. Yours look dynamic and have movement unlike the static standard models. Love them
Keep it up, they look bloody awesome!

Hey Dakka,
I was so crazy impressed with the Helldiver Conversion iv given it a go myself. Would be awesome if you let me know your opinions!
(Still very much a WIP, im still not 100% sure on the legs, feel like they maybe too long for the torso. Going to try and put some better pictures up tonight)
