"They" did not form the Grey Knights.
Malcador the Sigilite gathered a grand total of FOUR individuals and (long story short) moved them to Titan where the nascent Grey Knights chapter was held in stasis. NO more than 4 single persons were involved at that point in the Heresy. Any other loyalist survivors were left to other fates (whatever they may have been).
Pretty much, they were the Sigilites personal squad and they were stationed no Titan. But never has there been any mention of them being connected to the Grey Knights come to think of it, it's all just rumors.
Also, Beaviz, you have the best stance on debating on a subject ever, I am right, and you have no right to speak unless you agree. Go somewhere else with that childish behaviour.

In the WB omnibus they talk about a second cleansing of the legion and how the first was getting rid of loyalists. I think.

It's not your thread, therefore you can't have a say in who else should be allowed to post just because they take a different approach to interpreting fluff.
and dragging whatever you want into any conversation is, to be blunt, a fairly stupid way of going about discussions. By all means, mention other sources/discussions on similar things, but not "whatever" into "any discussion".
Not going to derail the thread any more (sorry about that, OP), so can we get back to the actual subject?

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

A trifling little thing like death is no reason to write a character off in the heresy...
People get better from death all the time.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives. |

If you cannot manage to post in a mature and responsible fashion then you won't be allowed to post.
James Swallow stated -- in WD IIRC -- that Whilst he knows or has plans for Garro and Co. they are not, and do not, found the Grey Knights.

I liked them, yeah, also, audio dramas, not books. The longest one is only 2.20. Hardly a book.

I always imagined that it wasn't all of the Emperors Children, World Eaters, Death Guard and Sons Of Horus that was in the Istvaan system at the time of the Dropsite Massacre.
That maybe whole companies didn't get there in 'time' and maybe decided that their primarch had gone crazy, repainted their armour and joined the Loyalists in battling their brothers...
Well that's my dream scenario

I like the loyal portions of the sons of horus; Loken and the loyalists in his command denouncing their allegiance to the sons of horus and returning to being luna wolves.

@ironwill13791 - i know right. loken is one of my favorite characters and pretty much the inspiration for this thread.
@megabambam - im with you on this. as big as the legions were in those days there had to be loyal portions that didnt make it to istvaan.
at least in my big head
