Do you guys think that the Ork Deff Dread is even somewhat viable? The thing is that it lacks any kind of delivery method aside from walking across the board at regular infantry speed.

It is quite cheap, it can repair itself, get two skorchas and can still get a lot of attacks on the charge, but only at initiative 2, which makes even IG Veterans a threat in close combat. It can also get a 5+ cover save while in the open if in a list with a KFF Big Mek, but the Kan wall list got killed off by 6th edition due to killa kans being AV11 and only having 2 hull points.
