My friend actually just got into 40k with Eldar, he's basically just picked up some of the mainstay units and Warp Spiders because he loves the look of them, and is waiting for the new codex to be released before getting more stuff or trying to convert things that might be getting their own kits (seriously, a kit is needed for Farseers and Warlocks on bikes)

You know what really bugs me? When my opponent, before they show up at the FLGS smears themselves in peanut butter and then makes blood sacrifices to Ashterai by slitting the throat of three male chickens and then smears the spatter pattern into the peanut butter to engrave sacred symbols into their chest and upper arms.
I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"

I won a 1250 against the new dark angels with a terminator heavy army. they are not bad just know that you cannot treat them liek marines or other armies. eldar units do one thing, they do it well, and often do it better than anything in the game. there are few things for the points that touch harlequins in close combat, they wiped 3/4 deathwing terminator squads off the map. note that was one squad of harliquins to i had an all comers list but my war walkers and wraithlord just plinked off a few models where they could and tried to pin but given my opponent they were all mostly useless make an all comers list and you can do well just know they have a steep learning curve and one mistake as eldar can cost you the game they are the least forgiving army out there

Well, I played two games with my Eldar in the 6th ed vs. Tau and BA and won them. The army consisted of Fuegan, Fortuneseer, 10 Warlocks, 2x 5 Pathfinders, 10 Dire Avengers, 3 Warwalkers w/ scatterlasers, 2 Wraithlords, 10 Harlies incl. Shadowseer. The key was to throw Fuegan in front of the Council. He can soak up a ton of fire. This unit and the Harlies reached the enemy front ranks almost unhindered. This army can work. But against a more mobile army like Necrons it will have a hard time.
