Most of the original games were good. Dark Forces 1 for example, and of course X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter.

See I'm actually glad they're gone. Obviously my hopes go for every single person who lost their job and I hope they are all alright...but in all hoensty I haven't enjoyed any of their games for a long time. Probably the only one I got really obsessed with Star Wars : Force Commander. It was an RTS that I just thought had amazing graphics (and looking back it had great graphics for it's time!) and I really enjoyed it, though I was like 10 - so there is that.

But as they've gone on Battlefront was the only game I was ever impressed with, and I can see Disney exploiting that as quick as they can, with a high budget, and with 3 eras built in to encompass the new films.

People think this is the end of Star Wars gaming for some reason, if anything I think it's the start of a lot more video games - it just means they have better budgets, more promotion, and probably pumped out more (that's a good and bad thing depending on if they maintain standards).

I tried playing Force Commander not too long ago. It really was a very painful, terribly designed game.

It's telling tat a few years later, Galactic Battlegrounds came out, was hailed as "finally a good Star Wars RTS" and.... it was an Age of Empires 2 reskin.

In my opinion and of the ones I'm very familiar with:

Good Star Wars PC Games
X Wing
TIE Fighter
Dark Forces
Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight
Jedi Outcast
Jedi Academy (though not as good as outcast)
Star Wars Rebel Assault 2
Star Was Rebellion/Supremacy ((Though I've never played it))
XVT: Balance of Power
X Wing Alliance
KOTOR
TOR (Hey, it's free now and I got it at a rock bottom price originally)
Star Wars Battlefront 2

Neutral Star Wars Games
Star Wars Rogue Squadron: Good fun, but that **** ATAT level was hellish on the pc.
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Actually, alright, but it was an AOE2 clone, made umpteen years after AOE2 came out.
Empire at War / FoC: Space Battles awesome (though rather dull strategically), Ground battles AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.
KOTOR2: Controversial, I know, but up until the point when they lopped off the last 1/3rd of the game, it really was rather good.

Bad Star Wars Games
Episode 1: Got it as a birthday gift, it was terrible.
Jedi Starfighter: I got this for free with Jedi Outcast, and still felt ripped off.
Xwing V TIE Fighter: I don't know why people thing this is a good game. It's a bunch of random skirmishes designed for a multiplayer combat, released before the internet was mature enough for proper multiplayer games to even be remotely viable.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed: How the heck did they manage to make playing as Darth Vader be so incredibly boring? And so very slooowwwwww
The Force Unleashed 2: 'nuff said.

I've considered getting Republic Commando, I know it's supposed to be good, but only about 3 hours long.
