It's monkeys here because we don't have any snapping turtles (apart from one rather grumpy alligator snapper in captivity at the local reptile park).

Whereas you are swimming in Australian monkeys??
I like the Morats. Most of the ones with exposed faces are older sculpts anyway so they have other issues.
Yaogats and Kurgats look awesome to me.

Our zoos don't even have snapping turtles.
The only one (snapping turtle) we have in the country was found in a sewer, having been presumably dumped when the owners found out it was actually illegal to have them as "pets" (they are not an allowed import animal due to their aggressive natures).
ALL of our zoos have monkeys. So yes and many of those were born here - so yes, compared to the numbers of native born snapping turtles, we are practically swimming in (native born) monkeys (even if they aren't native TO oz).
