I should think things through more before I go: "oh wouldn't that be a neat idea!"
Yes, you would get hit more than once in both situations. A large Creature would get hit 4 times if it tried to fully move through the wall.

I can see the beginnings of a custom special scenario.
"Fire and Ice" -fight a family of fire trolls on a board covered in ice slick terrain! Lol.

I'd love to see custom scenarios from Endless players. If you decide to go for it, let us know how it turns out!

Been playing EFT and having a blast with my 6 year old and wife. I really appreciate how simple but tactical the rules are. The fact that I can pick the book up and play the game well in very little time w/o any one showing me the game or exposing me to the rules is a testament to the product’s quality, even if there are typos and things that need clarification here and there. Here are my questions that have been brewing:
Does Flanking and Vantage occur when using AoE abilities? Are there any kinds of abilities involving damage that do not benefit from Flanking or Vantage?
For flanking does the attack occur in the rear arc if it is centered there or the miniature using the ability is located in the rear arc?
The way I read the Knight’s Heroic Charge is that the Knight makes his move then after making his move he uses the Heroic Charge command. This command causes him to move (again in the turn) in a straight line and attack at a +1. Are there any limits to how many squares the knight may charge in a straight line? Is this strait line interrupted by changes in elevation (how much elevation)?
What is the vertical height of an AoE effect?
Please help me with these.

Hey c0r3, glad to hear you're enjoying it. I'll look into getting these questions added to an FAQ.
Flanking and Vantage occur with Multi-Target abilities.
Any time you're rolling attack/defense dice Flanking and Vantage are taken into consideration, even when a command has the No Damage or Heal tag.
Flanking and Vantage are measured by the position of the attacking model not from the location where the AoE is centered.
Heroic Charge, Fleet, and any other commands that call for a model to Move, are limited by the MOV value of the model. So a Knight can move up to 4 squares in a straight line before making their attack. Like a normal move, the Knight cannot enter squares if their JMP value would not allow it.
I'm not sure which vertical height you're refering to so I'll answer both:
Multi-Target Commands affect all of their squares as long as you have Line of Sight to the center/starting square. The vertical height of other squares has no effect on whether they are hit or not.
The maximum upward vertical range of any command is equal to the RNG value + the Attacking Model's height value (2 for normal models, 4 for large models)
The maximum downward vertical range is equal to the RNG value + the Target model's height value.
I hope these answers help. Don't hesitate to ask any others, and I hope you keep having fun with the game!

Thanks for the reply.
So in the case of the Knight; say a knight moves on his movement a total of 4 squares and his target is still 4 squares away. He can take the heroic charge to move 4 squares and attack at a +1?
Different part of my question. Say the Knight ends his movement adjacent to a target. Does he have to move for heroic charge or can he use it w/o moving? If he must move in a strait line at least some distance, is one square all that is needed?

Correct.
You need to move at least 1 square, otherwise the Knight has not moved during the Heroic Charge to gain the +1, but you are not required to move your full MOV value.
Of course, there is no reason you cannot stop short and Charge, or step back and charge again.
Also note that Stop doesnt affect Heroic Charge or Fleet, but still affects the Move Phase. So there are ways to counteract that trick.
