They need more xenos armies since half the armies are power armoured space marines. I would love for GW to come out with a new xenos army.

New codex, new models, long time between updates and Allies rules may have a big thing to do with it. everybody wants tau allies.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Then bring back deimurg.

And make them battle brothers with tau (they are allies in BFG).

I wasn't aware Deimurg ever left.

And the Tau may view the Deimurg as most useful as a space force, not useful as a ground force.

Lot's of people loved the look and feel of the tau, but they were so outdated they, like eldar, rarely got players, due to being told "Don't bother with tau/eldar, they have not been updated and they are really hard to use for it"

Now they have a new book, people can finally start bringing them out and playing with them for real

Kind of how it is with every single vehicle right now except AV14, which theyre hurting as well because of the point cost and liability of something that can still destroy them in 1 hit sneaking up on them.

Actually Tau vehicles sucking has nothing to do with 6th edition rules. The hammerhead was actually quite good in 6th edition. The reason Tau vehicles suck is because Vetock took vehicle multitrackers away, so they now move like IoM tanks.

You do realise I am now going to go through the whole codex to find a skull, because I simply do not believe you.

Edit: Found some

I started Eldar in 2nd, and picked up Tau the day they came out (damn, I'm gettin old) I've played both armies all the way through.

Currently my eldar are boxed, and have been since october, as tau have been my main.

Did the update get me to purchase new stuff... Yes
Will the Eldar update get me to purchase more... Yes

Overall, older players and bandwagoners will buy new stuff, mainly because it's new/cool/OP.

Will I do it again.... maybe when DE get updated
