I'll be buying this after my exams. For the price its worth it alone just for that soundtrack. However based on TotalBiscuit's video it would have been nicer if they'd done a bit more retexture/meshing. Its glaringly obvious that all they've done is add a different skybox/colour overlay, whilst leaving in a load of existing textures (ie I'dve liked it if they'd at least changed the colour of the grass/trees to have a bit more red in it to match the sky). For the price I can accept that issue, but its typically a given for it to be done in third party expansion mods (though they don't have to deal with nearly the same amount of hurdles that big companies do). =/

It is rare that I actually enjoy a tutorial as much as I did on the initial start of this.
Also, a trophy for killing a dino with lasers. . .using a bow.
Good stuff.

I tried playing this, the intro did please me. The colours are far too garish for my liking. Seems like a fun game, but I can sense the seizure coming on.

My lady said something similar. The contrast is (yes, yes, deliberately) set to almost absurd levels. Stealth around garrisons made her eyes water after a bit. She still said she has to try it out though - and it does not seem to bother me.

I think the game has a hard time establishing its voice. The overtly self-aware, sarcastic tone of the tutorials and loading screens really clash with the 80's movies parody. I think it would be a lot funnier and better if they played the old action movie angle straight.
Giantbomb's quick look basically says the same thing if people care.

I watched that video and feel they were being slightly nit-picky. (Intentional)Humour in games very rarely works and it shouldn't really come as a surprise. Borderlands 2 tried REALLY hard and it only got 1 lol and a dozen or so snorts of amusement from me hardly the key feature it wanted to be. This new generation of American humour and it's lack of crafted jokes or poignant observation is kinda meh for me (Exemplified by the web series 'Jake and Amir'). Oh and the 'coloured text' gag on one of the loading screens is actually pretty funny.

It's not so much that I don't enjoy the snarky humour; it's just an odd fit with the rest of the game's tone. I think committing to just one style would have served them best.
