What the writers think each of the different RFP effects should be now is up to them but I'd go with the line of RFP is now RFPaac since this shows clear precedent.
It was an artifact of one writer actually. Noone but PK used that rule.

It was in the 5th ed brb, SA for example on page 40 of the small brb it says that a unit is destroyed and removed.
Also trapped when falling back and a few other things that say destroyed and removed. None of them were rfpaac.
I didn't say it was vague, I just don't claim omniscience on RAI but I am positive there will be one exception to this faq just to muddy the water. BTW the use of omniscience isn't a go at you or anything I'm just sad for humanity due to the asinine "Is this cheating" thread, I don't know RAI nor will I ever claim it.
@NOS: He did run away with it.

As it stands now "removed from play" is just a super version of instant death as it goes through Eternal warrior still.

I feel the same way. Has there been a single ruling in the Necron FAQ that went against them?
Imhotek got better, Monliths, being Heavy and deepstriking, got better, and their infantry got better with the ruling RP and removed from play...Meanwhile, Daemon armies lost the ability to put units at 0 initiative (admittedly very powerful) and still don't have a working Burning Chariot.
Am I the only one that feels the Necron codex is in a more dire need of a rewrite than any of the older ones

Monoliths are still borderline useless; and the Remove as a Causality ruling just cleared up a hotly contested situation that will only make them ever so slightly better vs 1 army.
Hardly a FAQ to push the full advantage over the edge.
