Holy crap I love your models! That guy with the Psycannon/melta is just oozing awesomeness. And there is some really inventive (read: great) uses of bits in the models! And the Assassinatrix... mmm.

I've wanted to build a female inquisitor for quite a while now.
So - today I picked up a plastic banshee and started the cutting and gluing and general fiddling about process. Here's where we are at the moment...

Looks like a fun mini to paint Jeff. You're pretty sharp with those clippers, or do you use a hobby knife to cut? Not sure a shotgun is the way I'd go, im more a phaser type guy, but i can dig the steam punk vibe.

Thanks - and yeah - I use a modeling knife. Don't think you can do fidfly stuff like this using only clippers...

Here's some more works in progress. Slaneeshi renegade and a grumpy old inquisitor:

Beautiful stuff, really have been a devout follower of your blog, and am glad you've started posting on here too!

That female inquisitor is quite possibly one of my favourite minis of yours to date, which is really saying something! something about it just really 'works'. Cant wait to see how it progresses.

As for the slaneeshi marine, its also really captured that grotesque aspect, but the arty breastplate hints at previous sophistication, you really are a kit bashing god! The way you take things and totally reinvent them, like the crossbow quiver crotchplate! Out of curiosity what is the head on this guy?

I love your name by the way, conjures fond memories, good old Eddie.

Anyway, enough praise! keep it up!

Thanks J!

Cobbled together a sword and a backback for the inquisitrix. Still have to do some reconstructive surgery on her chin and add lots of details, but she's coming along rather nicely methinks...

I think it´s wierd that I havent seen more Emperors Children using the sanginuary guard bits - they have a opulent, almost decadent look that fits a slaaneshi renegade like hand in glove. The head is from the new chaos chariot.

Oh, and yes - Izzard rocks!

Cheeers!

Oh I agree, coming along very nicely indeed! The chin work is subtle, but is definitely an improvement, an the sword really helps to balance the model.

And I totally agree for the sanguinary parts, very decadent, but almost excessively so, very slaanesh.

keep it up.

Now, I'm almost finished with her. Thinking about adding a servoskull and perhaps filling up some of the gashes in her frock (as some have suggested over on the ammobunker forums).

This chap that got started a while ago received a minor rebuild.

There's something about these old bretonnian men at arms this is based on... Even though a tad rough around the edges compared to more recent kits they have lots of character.

I totally agree, with the addition of other more high tech parts they just slot into 40k perfectly, something that always needs a bit more tweaking for other fantasy figures.

Looking mighty fine as always sir!
