Also I hate that spam has a negative connotation. Most efficient armies in the fluff will spam the same units, because it keeps logistics reasonable.

I'd like to second that! I hate it when I show up to game with my Dark Eldar (mostly 10-man kabalite squads in Raiders without a single Venom anywhere in the list) and people roll their eyes and say "Oh great. Raider spam." As though I've somehow artificially altered my list to take multiples of a unit that's really powerful and not intended to be taken in multiples. I mean, Skimmers is kind of what that army does. Can you imagine trying to play a large game using DE but NO skimmers? lol

Edit: I just googled ablutions and apparently it does not including dropping a duece. I should have looked it up early sorry for any confusion. - Baldsmug

Wait, what were we talking about again? Did I ever tell you about the time I gave you five bees for a quarter? That's what you'd say in those days, "give me five bees for a quarter", is what you'd say in those days. And you'd go down to the D&D shop, with an onion in your belt, 'cause that was the style of the time. So there I was in the D&D shop..."

Someone just said I was spamming Grey Hunters. Grey Hunters are troops. Infantry. Shouldn't that be hording grey hunters?

Well, honestly that speaks more about the person complaining than anything else. I mean, unless you take Logan Grimnar, Space Wolves only have two troops: Grey Hunters and Blood Claws. And fluff wise, there are more Grey Hunters than anything else in a Space Wolf Great Company. You don't field battles with large numbers of recruits after all...

In the Objective based game that is 6th Edition, 2-5 Grey Hunter packs is not "spamming".

100% Agreed. For some Armies "spamming" is supported in the fluff.

Personally, I don't consider what most people call "spamming" to actually BE spamming. My version of spamming would be either excessive min/maxing in a small point list (taking 6 5 man units of Grey Hunters in Razorbacks for like 900 points in a 1500 point army is spamming) or doing something dastardly like taking 6 Helldrakes at 2000 points just because you are allowed two FOC.

Basically, to me spamming is taking a lot of a unit that you think is good/broken/overpowered and trusting in it to carry you, rather than building a list for the missions and armies you are likely to face or to fit a theme. At the same time, I don't get upset when others throw 50 Grey Hunters at my 50 Grey Hunters.

Probably not explaining it well, but there it is.
