I'm enjoying this a lot.

Keep it up!

I honestly wasn't sure whether to add the flashback bit. Felt a bit info-dumpy when I was writing it. But I wanted to put it in, and I couldn't think of a better spot...

It was well placed. Reminiscence is important for character development and often it's nice for readers to be fed some info rather than be speculating...

Plus, I have a feeling the events of 2 years ago will come to have some new significance with the current events in the story at some point.

Would be interesting to see a post from Jayanti's perspective soon, see what she's getting up to, especially if it's only a veiled tease... leaving us intrigued and curious but in the dark.

Maybe her spy will contact her...

A fine read as always, and I must say, Most of the Inqusitors in this story are rather douchy, But well done and well told

ΙI really like your depiction of Inquisitorial manoeuvering and backstabing. And to offer a little critcism your portrail of Henghist was a little rushed. I don't think a Radical would be so brazen with his views on xenos in the very middle of the Tricorn!

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

OK, I am currently re-writing a lot of this. I had been making it up as I went along but I want it to turn into something bigger and more carefully structured, which means a bit more planning and tidying up is going to be necessary.

I want the character of Henghist and his faction to be a much more important part of the story so I will be giving them an overhaul. At the minute his role can be summed up as "get mentioned, turn up, die."

Managed to race through the first bit in my lunch work break. I like the protagonist's inner thoughts and the homour of the writing so I'll be back for more (after getting on the beers tonight) to get further into this one!

First four posts have been extensively rewritten! More dialogue, character descriptions and scene-setting added.

Unfortunately this means there may be some temporary plot inconsistencies with the later posts, but I'm working on them too.

Everything has been brought up to date, yay! I'm much happier with it now. If you've already read this far, there have been a few new scenes added should you wish to re-read up to here. It's the "Director's Cut," if you like.

Now this I did really enjoy, you seem to be evolving a much more steady grip on the story. And also on the characters you so lovingly portray in it

With only a few spelling errors to nitpick I must say this was a great read and look forward to anything else you may type up. If anything it makes me want to reread the series again. INTRIGUE!!
