Wow there is so much intense butt hurt and poor english concentrated on that website I dunno if he needs morphine or a grammar nazi roflstomping, there are a lot of good asian cosplayers (in the from Asia sense) but a lot of those that really get circulated are are pros, models who get payed to cosplay for events, and usually have no more hand in doing their own cosplays then any other model has in designing the outfits they wear, most folks over here do it cause they want to have fun.

At least in my personal experience.

Is it strange that growing up and even after, I never saw anime characters as Japanese. To me they always looked like their own cartoon style race or western. If they were all Japanese wouldn't they be shorter? and have dark hair. Not racism im not entirely sure but I thought the light hair gene was really small in the east which is why they always have dark black or brown hair.

It seems to me they based characters on western style or at least stylized beyond classification of east and west. I mean they are drawn characters, not based on real people in the first place. So I dont understand how anyone dressed up as a character who does not even exist can be racist this isnt who framed roger rabbit where the digital characters have their own society lol they are made up. Having looked at their stuff it seems the only racism going on is that blog and videos. People really need to stop telling others what they can and can't do based on their origin, thats the definition of racism. If we kept these views expressed in that blog/vids cultural equality wouldn't have gotten anywhere by now but from what ive read on people living in the far east, racism against westerners is still really prevalent in that society, which is sad.

I mean i had a pokemon party when I was 8, everyone came dressed up as trainers does that make me racist? then again I came dressed as psyduck so maybe not

But the topic is an antithesis to the point you're making. If I gleamed what little information there was from your first thread, you said that Asians don't base Anime on them, but on westerners. Okay. Well if that's the case, then the OP in THIS thread is stating that westerners cosplaying as anime characters are racist, something your point directly goes against.

This topic title even fail to explain why he/she claim the blog owner as a crazy Anime fan. What this topic all doing is making false claim because unable to show any argumentation for it, that is not even counting if the argumentation are valid or not. Way very different from my topic that got locked, awful. The only reason I see the mod locking is the mod not like the topic content [ not that i breaks this forum laws ] and have to find baseless excuse to lock it by saying this also baseless topic are the same as it.
