Unless we have definitive evidence of any wrong doing--let's keep rumor/comments about the individual out of this thread. Thanks.

The guy can run the shop in any way he sees fit as it's his shop. Is it illegal to spend beyond your means? He sounds like a American. We have a tendency spend a lot of money and dig ourselves into debt.

Couple of the Worthy give-away prizes (Painted FW titans) up on ebay. Dunno how they're both in the possession of the same seller, could be legit but I'd have expected them to be under the ownership of separately distinct sellers.

That is odd...

I find it interesting to compare this video with the one presented by Resin Forge....

The "giveaways" never happened. I know the seller of the items. One is to pay off a debt to himself, and the other is to pay off a debt to a gaming club member who helped worthy out with a model of his own for worthy to sell as a commission a while back and never received recompense for that rather large resin model.

Yeh, I know someone on Facebook who's selling the Blue Titan (friend of a friend) and it's the exact titan from Worthy.

Why didn't they actually give these away?

Wait, so they never gave the winners their prizes? Man I would be pissed with a capital P if I was told I won a pro painted titan and then they reneged.

this looks like the blue titan they were "giving away"

I agree, I'd be majorly annoyed if I'd won and didn't get it. He's selling it for £320 including the case

There's no reason to think that miniatures wargaming will last forever. When GW got started with it, for example, computer games were still crude pixelfests with annoying beeps for music. These days, they're the biggest entertainment industry in the world, and almost all of the target market of miniatures games are exposed to them every day. Little plastic men will not be able to compete with that indefinitely, just like model kits, RC cars and model trains, all of whom are already dying.

Maybe in 20 years some post-hipsters will ironically rediscover space marines and rolling dice.

I would argue that it won't die out for at least 30 years, even if GW does. Despite what people say about a lack of new players, I am constantly meeting new/younger players who are enthusiastic about the hobby. I also doubt video games will kill it off. People like to play games that aren't on screen. For example, MTG is still going strong, even though the same company has released an online version of the game that's pretty much exactly the same. Some people just prefer for their gaming to be physical.

And they'll continue to do so with MTG and 40K because these are games based around social interactions. Playing via computer just isnt as fun because the people are what really makes a game fun.

I play 40k despite the price gouging because my friends do, because their friends do, because etc. etc.
