 There is no "best gun" every gun has randomly generated stats, then it depends on your class skills and mod,
then it's down to preference, for example I rarely use a pistol that isn't Jakobs or a shotgun that isn't Torgue,
I never use Tediore apart from rocket launchers.

except Krieg + Shotgun = win
really, i just use my shotty untill i am nice and close and wait untill i am at 33% hp and then i murder EVERYTHING.
so far with my new class mod and skills i can 2 shot a super badass the same level as me at 40. I laugh at bosses as i rampage through them usually only needing one or two rampages to kill them. doing well over 150k dmg at lvl 40 is totally broken.

I never really cared for shotguns, I'm the spray & pray type so I'd have a sniper rifle for long distance stuff, and a good assault rifle and smg ready for when things get close. I take the highest dmg rocket launcher I can find and that's just my Second Wind machine. If I go down, I pull out the launcher and blast away till I get up again, that's really the only time I ever use one.

One day when I logged on I just randomly recieved 10 golden keys. Everyone I've talked to seems to indicate I'm a lucky SOB. Haven't used any of them yet, wanted to wait until I got through the initial storyline before I did.

I think I have opened that chest close to 100 times.
Was most useful after powerleveling a Psycho for a bit, though.
I had no loot on him yet to decide was better!

What different tinderbox? Pics or it didn't happen.
If it's still a form of the fire pistol, it's still not too fancy once you start getting stuff like the rocket launcher that hops like a demented bunny rabbit. Or the submachine gun that makes extreeeeeemely irritating noises whenever you fire it. Or the robot shotgun that delights in your frags.
God, I love the unique weapons.

There's still no pics, and google-fu doesn't bring up anything else trustworthy, so I'm still calling: didn't happen. 
UNLESS it's the higher level version you get from going through True Vault Hunter mode.

There is also a second Tinderbox which you can get in Tundra Express by beating up the snowman's face at the entrance of the zone.
It's usually a good 10 levels higher and more effective.

I have just never really been able to get into the Borderlands series. I've tried both games and I really have tried to like them but I find I just get bored after a few hours or so because it just feels too much like grinding to me.

I just got the psycho pack DLC....how do I change character without getting rid of my assassin...do you just press new game and change characters when you play co-op?

Yup! That's pretty much it. The main menu has a "Change Character" option and there's new game options there too:

Just a FYI:
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep comes out next week...and we're getting a SECOND season pass. The second pass will include as its first DLC an assault on the moon base.
