My 5-man GK terminator squads. They can always get the job done, and when it counts can pass a ridiculous number of 2+ saves. An honorable mention goes to the servitor manning the TL plasma cannon on my stormraven, he has wasted deepstriking termies. For painting, I love my Vindicare because he's painted a dark camo and sometimes my opponents forget he's there because they don't see him

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Thunderfire Cannon, I cant say it enough! I don't often play my Smurfs but when i do, no matter what i have on the field, the old TFC always gets double his points back and is the bane of all Devastator Squads. Strangely enough my opponents never attack my plucky TFC, and when they do its never been killed.

In Tau I would have to say my hardiest unit has always been my Ethereal, since his big re-debut that guy really knows how to get things done. Traditionally my Tau have lost more units to falling back off the table than to enemy fire, so naturally a unit that can prevent that is my number one savior!

17,000 points (Valhallan)
10,000 points
6,000 points (Order of Our Martyred Lady)
Proud Countess of House Terryn hosting 7 Knights, 2 Dominus Knights, and 8 Armigers
Stormcast Eternals: 7,000 points

Good man. I love it how much better they made this guy in the new codex. He's gone from "don't even think about it" to "cornerstone of my army".

And like most of the units in the Tau codex, he plays to his fluff. Before the Ethereal was garbage, now hes the cornerstone, AS HE SHOULD BE. Ethereals should be in your army inspiring your men, the Commanders are the ones making the daring moves and surgical strikes. Im really glad I bought the Ethereals back in the day before i realized how terrible they were, I had some ready to go day one when the Codex landed.

My most consistently effective unit would have to be my... Actually, I dunno. I haven't really played enough recently to remember.

My favorite unit that I always try to make room for is Celestine. Sometimes I take Uriah with a Battle Conclave, but I keep coming back to Celestine.

My favorite looking unit is my Heavy Bolter Retributors. The heavy bolter-toting Retributor model is my absolute favorite miniature of the entire Sisters of Battle range, maybe even GW's entire catalogue. Only one of them is painted currently.

Schrott

Its between 2 of my tanks.
"The Hammer" which is a vanquisher tank (surprised?) that when I need it to kill something it does so, If it doesn't kill something outright it will do serious damage and always at the very least gets a 3 (stunned) which puts most things out of action long enough to bring down armored targets. So far in a match where a Land Raider is present, the Land raider will not survive turn 1 due to the Hammers massive cannon 1 shotting it.

The other is an Executioner named the "Electrocutioner" due to the Tesla tank nature of the tank (has 2 giant electrodes as its main weapon instead of the plasma cannon), when it fires it obbliderates everything it touches. the best kills its made so far is killing a huge cluster of chaos space marines. It had all 5 of its plasma cannon templates hit and that was enough that the chaos player just said "yeah, no" and removed all the marines before I could roll the wounds.

Dark Eldar: Raider w/Flickerfields. It's the only thing a HB can't glance down, shoots 3 Dark Lances (which can all be fired after movement at normal BS after a 12" move), and can destroy tanks like nothing.

He seems to pass way more Shadowfield saves than he has any business doing. He's also been in challenges with Crowe and Lysander, and survived both!

The +1 to go first wins me games also.
