Thank you all for responding. I can see, now, that the simple +1 on the vehicle damage table is more valuable than I first thought (and worries me as I have just started play and now have a 1500 point 'cron army!)

I wasn't, however, missing any additional benefit!

Now, you do realize it is a +2 on the chart, right? or do you keep referring to it as 1 better than the AP2 bonus?

Aun'va's unit is pretty much immune to any and all AP1 weaponry. Everything else has a chance to get through depending on the roll.

Watching mid-strength weapons with AP1 fire at Dark Eldar transports or War Walkers...you realize how fun AP1 can be over AP2. +3 to the damage chart when hitting open topped. :-)
