I'd say it's not so much "immunity" as "extreme resistance". If you'd cover yourself in sun blocker with a factor of 2,000,000 you'd be effectively "immune" to getting burned by the sun's rays, but that doesn't mean you'd live through having a nuclear bomb dropped on top of you (rather silly example, but still). It's the same deal as the wards of the Grey Knights, or Void Shields; they'll repel some of the incoming force (all of it if it's weak enougn), but if it's strong enough (for example, the Emperor going "Nope." on Horus) it doesn't matter if you're the Chosen Primarch Champion of the four Gods of Chaos, you'll cease existing anyway. I'd also theorize (and this, I stress, is just my own thoughts and not official in any way) that a stronger psyker or daemon would have less of a problem with a blank than a weaker daemon/psyker would have with the same blank.


As a side-note, what do you get if you turn a blank into a Grey Knight? Ignoring for a second that it'd wreak havoc with the Chapter, if Grey Knights are anathema to daemons, would a blank/null/pariah Grey Knight not be doing to daemons what a blast furnace would do to a snowman?

And like Psykers, Blanks have varying degrees of power. And like psykers, extremely low level blanks are largely ignored by fluff because there's really nothing interesting about them. The highest level blank ever, the Black Pariah, was seriously believed to be a threat to the Emperor himself.

Seriously believed by himself, no? That's some pretty epic-level hubris right there TBH.

There was a room full of people that were worried about the black pariah making the big E go up like a mushroom cloud. Wasn't it some kind of assassin council with Malcador present? ... even the Emperor turned up at the end IIRC.

No, because the reason gray knights are so good against demons is that they turn the warp against them. I non-psyker grey knight isn't a grey knight.

There is, in fact, a Pariah Grey Knight in The Emperor's Gift, actually.

So if a powerful enough Blank comes around and permanently destroys their psychic power, they can be captured and turned in to Chaos Grey Knights?

Well no, but when a powerful enough Blank came around in Atlas Infernal, Grey Knights did have a nasty habit of sorta dying on the spot.
