Yes HS removes from play ignoring EW. But you have to be in CC to use it (as you do with the mace). Which means people have time to do something about you. JotWW DPs in and Shoots and you can use it without having to die first and without having to face a round of moving and shooting and overwatch before you can use it. Saying they are comparable is a million miles off.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Yes lots of things ignore EW. Name anything that ignores EW and snipes characters without requiring a roll. Anything?

Yeah Jaws is a known quantity and has been for years. 6th Eds shift to less much has certainly helped it. It is a very good power. Not game breaking but situationally over powered against certain armies (mainly Tyranids that really don't need anything else going against them).

It doesn't cause me a problem at all. But it is a VERY good power and fits with a DP assault list exceptionally well.

DE Shattershard. Only roll involved is the enemy's toughness save. Now, being a toughness save, it is unlikely to net you many MCs, but it allows for specific models to be singled out literally without you rolling a thing.

76% that it is cast, then with the inititive roll that spirals down from 63% with I1 to 12.66% with I5+.

Also a regular weapon can snipe a character it's called precision shots etc.

I dare you to come up with another weapon that can instant kill a wraithknight or tervigon... Can't wait for the SW codexredo....

Tyeanid with Toxin Sacs and Pair of Boneswords or the Swarmlord.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Anything with ID? Any model with a black mace?

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

Of course ID is useless against my Tervigons - they are always Iron Armed.
