I have always wanted to do Fantasy based GOT themed armies. I think my favorite choice would be a Bretonian Baratheon army. Stannis would be the commander because I think he is the coolest.

Did you paint the whole block of Sea Guard at once or did you paint individual models to completion first?

I do big blocks with the assembly line method, so 20 guys in a row and paint one step to them all first before moving to the next. It took me around 5 hours to paint the guard. Bases i did separately and it took around 3 hours.

That was also in my mind, or a vampire count army that is basically the white walkers Also i was trying to think of making an army to suit the Nights watch, but it started to feel like a too big of a stretch to fit that theme into any army book. Disregarding that the high elves have pointy ears, i feel like they fit nicely into my mother of dragons army theme specially with the dragon proxies etc

Love that dirty red and gold color scheme. Makes High Elves look badass and not wimpy.

Best elves I've ever seen, hands down. Amazing work here. The inspiration provides a clear visual anchor point, which makes all the other choices (the slightly dirty look, the basing, the coloration) all fall neatly into place. Great job.

Thank you all for the kind words. This project is one of my favourite projects to date, and i have done loads in the 15 years of gaming and painting i have done I added an army photo with all of my painted models in one shot so far into the original post, check it out
