I think the best stratagy would be to quickly make a bunch of propaganda movies aimed directly torwards the orks saying the best fight the orks could have would be to fly into the sun. Then you broadcast it like hell on every media device like crazy to make sure anough of the orks see it and start to believe it that their innate psychic abilitys would make them aactually do it. their problem solved.

We're number four on the list of most weapons per civilian in the world. The gun safe in my home holds enough weapons to arm ten men, and I know people from three different moose hunting districts. Open season on Orks.

edit: and we still have mandatory military service here. Our average man won't measure up to professional soldiers but over 80% do complete their basic training. Oh, and the army has enough guns to arm the full reserve and then some.

And this is an invasion of a billion orks, ten billion gretchin, billions of squigs, millions of vehicles, and thousands of stompas and gargants. You won't fight isolated orks, you'll be fighting a huge horde whipping through your city blowing up everything in sight and you'll likely be terrified beyond belief. This isn't a fight the Earth will win easily. I predict over 99% human casualties before we can stop them with mass nukes and the total collapse of all governments and infrastructure.

It is ludicrous to think that we would have a chance. Industry would be unable to cope with the sudden increase in weapon production requirements. Even if self-destructive nuclear warfare began, somehow wiping out the orks( extremely dubious), the massive amount of spores would wipe us out in round 2.

We would all end up as butcherd corpses, with our bodies hacked into mince meat while our world burns. Not to say it would not be an improvement of the gakky world we currently have

We'd be fine then some big punk ass warboss would show up with his flashy garagants and we'd be curbstomped like soggy rice cakes.

If it were just boyz and a single warboss then I think we might have a chance. But if it was real Ork army with Lootas and Burnas and Battlewagons... We're screwed. Majorly screwed.

We're also forgetting that there won't just be the first invasion. If we put up a good fight, more orks will flock to the system, meaning we'll be dealing with >1billion orks and counting.

Not to mention the fact that the majority of Earth's defenders wouldn't be trained to use firearms, it would be "Here's a gun, point and shoot, good luck."
