Awesome report Thor and great battle. I can't believe Chaos stole it at the end - especially after the Imperial come back after that brutal Oblit strike.

Excellent terrain table and great models and story. Is there another campaign in the works?

Super happy you liked it!

Yeah, that game was pretty fun because there was so much back and forth - after the Oblit drop I think most of Team Imperial (certainly myself) were pretty convinced we were done for.
Then after the Host dropped in it felt like we had it in the bag!
Then suddenly Chaos shot apart basically all the Termies in one turn and we were boned again.
It was back and forth on every turn, about how Apoc should be, I think.

Yes, we're planning a sequel to this Campaign - probably more story driven missions, hopefully a slightly wider range of armies, should be fun.

That was rough Thor. They took most of your army off the table before you got to use it. Pagent was really lucky he didn't try to walk up to the landing zone or drive up in a chimera.

Those plague towers were unreal with how hard they were to kill. I imagine you would need 10x firedragon squads to have a realistic chance to kill them. Perhaps haywire wyches might be useful if you have something similar?

Yeah. Thor actually did get to use some of those vehicles once.

That actually convinced me that we didn't want him using them again.

As for the plague towers, that was something we decided on for fluff purposes. In hindsight, they turned out to be a lot tougher than expected.

In future, we will probably avoid stuff like that, or at least agree that they are already damaged and down to half ( or fewer) hull points.

It is difficult for us to get past turn 4 in these games, and that is not really enough time to properly deal with that many hull points.
