I remember hearing some rumors about orks getting some new deepstriking abilities. I think it was from miniwargaming.

only one i heard about was a MANz tellyporta thing that was supposedly unique in how it scatters....i.e. probably more prone to utter failure than normal.
Supposedly were getting a couple of fortifications, the word Rok was mentioned but it was described as a bunker for some reason. Maybe a bunker that crashes down from reserves? lol

I'd drop the super-expensive nob unit and replace the gretchin units with boyz. Also note that ammo runts are only slightly less expensive than buying your nob a TL shoota in the first place, if you really want realiable shoota hits. Last, but not least, replace burnaz with lootaz, they work better in combination with big shoota meks. Since plasma weapons are the new meltas, I wouldn't worry that much about them. It there is a melta unit or two around, just point your SAG at it. I wouldn't put it past orks to just drop MANz out of planes, assuming that their armor is tougher than the ground. I can also see them looting a drop pod and just dropping from the sky in it - painted red, sideways and without any functional brakes.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

I really hope that we get some deep striking ability, because right now, there are very few units that can surprise the opponent in any kind of way. Snikrot and the Kommandos took a big hit by not being able to charge anymore, and deffkoptas are always expected. I myself would like to field some stormboyz with the named character(I can't seem to remember his name right now) that let's them assault on entry to create chaos in the enemy backfield, because right now, I'm just driving straight up to the enemy, hopin that he doesn't kill me entire army before I get to assault anything.
I know I am playing Orks 5th edition style, but I won't go out and buy an entire set of new models just before a codex release.

Zagstruk is the stormboy dude. Hes just expensive, as are the rest of the storm boyz, thats their only problem. I imagine back when the codex was new they were viable pointwise but theres been a steady decline in point costs across the races, and the fact that Boyz are the only thing in our dex that are unusually good for the cost anymore makes it show. Everything else is "cheaper" but not cheap enough, or strong enough to make sense compared to their non-ork equivs. DeffDreads being one of those things. Cheaper, but not cheap enough to have the math come out right to be balaned (not by a longshot).
Though if you want to surprise your opponents you could bring Ghazzy or a Meganob Boss attached to a Snikrot group, and use his 2+ armor to provide "cover" and LOS any AP2 lol. Against an army that doesnt want to jump down your throat turn 1, which in this meta is a lot of them, its effective since it makes your opponent completely flip out and try to take them down lol.

i reackon they should make deff-dreads a transport kopta, which is a flier when it's empty, and a skimmer when it's carrying a dread, and every bit of terrain it goes over the dread takes a dangerous terrain test/S6 hit or something, representng it hitting whatever it's been carried over through.
