I'd like to see you do better.
What sort of argument is that? I can't critique something because I'm not Golden Demon standard? Please, that's nonsense and you know it.

Couldn't disagree more. If they look bland I'd say it is an intentional part of the style. The tyranids provide a mass from which it is difficult to pick out individuals, whilst the space marines stand out right away.
If you look closely at the tyranids you can see loads of detail on the joints on their arms etc. I'd love to see a 360' image or more close ups to get a better look.
It would be nice if there were more or better pictures. It's really difficult to appreciate entries with the pictures GW have out up.

For once GW is not to blame, well in a way. These pics were taken from a cell phone from the person who did them or someone else so GW didn't take the pics.
That being said, it shows how arsed GW is because they couldn't even be bothered to take pics for themselves at their own event.
Pretty sad GW is using someone else's pic because they can't be bothered.

Awesome dioramas. It's such a shame that there aren't any high res photos of these to really take in the detail and all the work put into each piece.

I wonder how difficult it is for them to set up those 360' cameras they use on certain new releases. It would be great if all the winning Golden Demon and AOP entries got that treatment, as the painters/modellers put in way too much effort for us to see them in this form.
Then again, maybe they want us to go to the event itself to look at them "in the flesh"...

Piece of cake. If it isn't, it should be. It's quite clear from the way the pictures work that it's simply a series of pictures hooked together rather than a full 360 degree view (something like 8 positions to choose from), so it should just be a case of set up the camera as for a normal shot, spin the model, take another shot, spin again, take again, etc. without having to mess with the lighting or focussing much.
Then if there's any misalignment from the spinning simply move the image in post-editing.

Yeah I thought so. So it would be good if they had a booth with a photographer set up to take those pictures, and then stick them online for people to drool over
