You do know that Scorpion Exarch can do the same thing, can infiltrate and get 3 copies. Same goes for all Incubi. I wouldn't be surprised if Relic Blades get AP2 when SM are rereleased.

Farsight himself is utter trash. And you want to nerf him? People only field him for fluff reasons or noscattered giant crisis bombs, not because hes a good model in the slightest.

In fact, since hes the ONLY model that can fight in melee, hes nerfed by default because hes not strong enough to be a commandoing hero charging everything on his own, and has no troops to help back it up.

IDK, Str5 with armorbane and AP2 at I5 is a decent melee statline.

The biggest deal is he unlocks a bunch of nice things. He himself isn't game breaking, its just icing on the cake. Definitely not trash.

Until they run into something actually designed to be good in assault, that is.

CC oriented Tau pay a premium to stack up will to normal units in other armies, and still fold against dedicated melee troops that didn't pay that premium.

Tau have no way to improve WS or number of attacks, or even AP outside the gauntlet. You cannot be good in melee with them unless its against something even worse...which is unlikely.

Still doesn't mean Farsight is bad.

He can kill vehicles dead and bail his squad out if they get caught. Plus he unlocks awesomeness.

oh yea what he unlocks is no doubt awesome. But thats that, what he unlocks. Noone fields him because its Farsight because the role he wants to play doesnt exist for tau.

Wish you could give him whatever weapon you wanted. I'd rather a melta on him than a plasma.

Farsight Supplement gives you Fusion Blades, overpriced, combined with Farsight I've killed everything short of Nurgle Bikers with Crystalline Skin and MCs. 4 armor AP2 attacks each hitting before I1 really helps.

ive yet to get my hands on that suppliment since its only available for ipod/ipad right now for some dumb reason.

To be fair, his statement was true - Tau (as in the Tau book) can't improve their CC outside of that. Farsight Enclaves can (as in the Supplement), but not everyone is going to be running a Farsight Enclave.

Just pointing out an option if you MUST have CC Tau. No offense taken or given.
