Argh, GW seriously discontinued the only product they ever sold that I had any interest in?

Dammit, that mat was a real quality product at a good price.

Oh well, lots of secret weapon and G&G boards for me I think.

It comes tie dyed like that already. It is also available in many different colors if you want some sort of alien surface...

I agree that the desert one is the best. Here is a shot of the green mat with more terrain so you can see that it indeed can look awesome:

Here is a link to the desert fabric if anyone wants to order some:

This is a great idea!!!

I went to Joann Fabrics today and got the green one, with a 60% off coupon it came out to $11!!! I'll go back later this week and get the tan as well.

I recognize the river as Pegasus Hobby, but where is the bridge from?

How did you get the 60% coupon? I'm tempted to head there tonight after work and look for a space theme (that isn't goofy)

Glad it worked out for you.
The bridges are made by another member from Hirst Arts castable bricks. IIRC, they are from the "fieldstone" mold series.

For those who may or may not have a Michaels near you, all the major craft stores (JoAnnes, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc) seem to have email lists that periodically send you a coupon for 40-60% off one regularly priced item. If you're patient, it's a great way to pick up those usefull-for-wargaming odd bits that craft stores sometimes have.

I mentioned the Battlemat at the last GW I went to and the manager was more than happy to special order me one. Which leads me to believe that they're still available through GW.

Although... I just won one on EBay that's local and I'm meeting the guy to pick up tonight. Score!
