Those look great. I personally think they might be more recognizable as snipers if you cut out the middle of the dark lance (the bulbous chamber) just leaving that long barrel. As is they do seem like heavy weapon troops. Great job though.

Any thoughts on how to make prone rangers or snipers.

thing to remember is with the cloak covering a lot of it you don't need to glue most of the figure together
easier to get the pose right, in mine nether leg is attached to the other or the waist.

I know what you mean about the bulbous bit of the rifle and I did think about removing it, unfortunately by the time I thought of it I'd already glued a few together so...meh

The background sounds a lot like the Eldar shifted radically towards the Exodite way of life and thinking. The lizardskin cloaks somewhat seal the deal there too. They probably have more in common with their Exodite kin than the Craftworld Eldar now, I'd expect.

Looking good on the conversions. I did a bunch of Pathfinder conversions using Wood Elves and such, I think they turned out fairly well, but I decided to use psy-bows instead of long rifles. Don't know if any of these might give you some inspiration vis-a-vis poses. Sorry about the picture quality. (Spoilered for size)

LadyCasandra: Very cool! I like the poses, and yeah I was trying to shift the concept of Eldar a bit more towards the "wood elf" or "wild elf" norm. Glad it came across!

I should have an update with some pictures of models soon. Work as a freelancer can get stupid busy when I least want it too!

If your about to start an eldar and love converting id suggest have a look at the corsair stuff from FW. Im looking for a cheaper alternative cos its gonna cost me just short of $100 aus to convert 2 guardian squads. thats more then the squads cost lol
