Sloan wants as many shooting warjacks as she can get. She has Fire Group- her battlegroup gets +2" of range, she has Deadeye, and her feat basically allows models in her batlegroup to make a second ranged attack. On top of that, she has refuge, and Return Fire. Everything about her screams "give me shooting Warjacks".

Well the only reservation about that is that the Hunter will not be able to benefit from the BG part of her feat or her Fire Group spell.

So no extra range or bonus feat attacks from that Hunter. If you feel the benefits of the Rune Shots are worth it you can go for it. Critical Brutal Damage is nasty on an Armor Piercing shot.
