Depending on the cost, you all glaze over an interesting factor. These tacticas will contain the full rules for a unit?

If the cost is reasonable ( a stretch, I'll admit) it may serve as an easy way to get rules for a single unit. Want the Bane blade rules? Spend some quid on just it instead of the Apoc book. Weve been wishing for years they'd include rules with a unit for easier between codex updates. Maybe this is a step towards something like that.

But probably I'm just dreaming.

This is all terrific news!

I do not have to buy WD anymore: not a thing in it will be of use since they like to charge everything separately.

I can spend less time talking rules on Dakka: They will cease and desist us probably just for the quote at the beginning of this post.
They are aware of the internet other than for purchases right? I just cannot figure their advice being all that illuminating.

They have now clued into "micro transactions" (danger, going into the crazy fortunetelling zone)

Think of it: you could buy only the parts of the Codex you need (if you buy it all, it would cost $100 so pick carefully).

For a slight increase in price, you could buy the rules with the model and get a "collector" card with handy reference information on it!!!

Or you will have to buy booster packs (not specific to any given army) until you get what you need.

You can "trade" for a nominal fee since they have an exclusive serial number only you can use (registration ($5 per) will get you one free upgrade to register on the model as well!!).

$1 per allowable option to be registered.

Do not forget to register yourself for the Player Ladder (tm) every Thursday night ($5) and be ranked by our third party app!!

You must get scanned in your army before the game to register in the ranking.
Just drop your selected model "deck" into the handy Card Hopper (tm) and off you go!
Your army point total is verified as well!
Remember: Models used in a battle cannot register again for 48hrs, they need to rest! Make sure you have your other army ready to go!

Winners get GW points that can be used for your next purchase (game night registration, card purchases and new release models do not apply!)

Only 1 GW point can be used per item = $2 (all models recently increased in cost by $3 across the board).

Do not forget to scan your cards out so that you can track the victories of the models! (added fee for the tracking reports)

We will analyze your army selection against other owners of rank and we will tell you what your next model purchase should be by email with the "one click purchase" system!

Off-day ranking games can be registered for $10 (each) but you get one and one half the victory GW points! (what a deal!)
A bonus of 1 GM point will be applied to your next purchase within 12hrs of your victory!

For every registered game played, you get two games where you can play your army online!
With our "Warmatch" (tm) engine we will select a suitable available opponent for you!

Enough
I could do this forever but you got the idea.
It is scary that I can see doing this.
Between "Skylanders", MTG and how GW does things now, the above points could easily become a reality.

All they need is to imbed a chip into a piece of the model and we can use a portal..... I mean "teleporter pad" for the army model IDs.
