My enforcers are chomping at the bit to be usable in a game. I kinda want to draw a list up and get people to try playing. Should I attempt 1.0 or 2.0? Most 40k players are running 1850 lists in my area, so which is more appropriately built for that?

Regardless of points level, I'd really recommend 2.0, as I find the nature of 1.0 far too abstract (it is just a sci-fi reskin of KOW). 2.0 is much closer to 40k, but probably better, as it's far more interactive and intuitive. If you can get a group interested, I imagine they will be instantly drawn in, as 2.0 is a really, really great ruleset. The fact it's free, well-balanced and scales well to almost any size just adds to the appeal.

Done. Thanks, paradigm!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

2.0 without a doubt. There's no enforcer list for 1.0 anyway, but 2.0 will be most "familiar" to 40kers. 1.0 will be incredibly alien to them with no casualty removal.

I can see the merits in both systems and so far I haven't been able to decide which approach I prefer.

After a discussion with Ronnie yesterday, he's specifically talking about 5 man basing on a 100x50mm tray with very little terrain on the board.

Thats sounds... Odd, are you sure he wasn't talking about playtesting or some such? Would be quite counterproductive to make a big fuzz about your plastic terrain when your game doesn't really use terrain

I havnt had the chanve to playtest 2.0 yet but the idea of having unit bases is terrible. It works great for KoW because its all about steategic movement of formations of units. Warpath however is a sci fi warfare game at 28mm scale. At that scale with a 28mm sci fi game its impractical to have unit bases with the acception of gun crews such the corperation heavy weapon teams. If you want to have unit bases then the game has to be scaled down because a unit in a sci fi future warfare setti g isn't going to bunch up and shoot it out like the nepolianic era. Again, state that it s Iimpractical to do so. If mantic goes that route I most likely won't play warpath.
