Subject: Re:GW release schedule according to stickmonkey
Well said. Plus, I'm not sure how much of his predictions turn out to be "false" or "vague" so much as way ahead of schedule and thus in the wrong order.
I would wager he's nailed the next few months.
I wouldn't take that wager. Last time he did a list like this he failed miserably (the infamous digital releases list).
Also, the last couple 'way ahead of schedule' rules sets he put out were waaaay off. Like not even playtest off.

UNlikely. It will probably be similar to the last time we got a 13th company list. Chances of putting a Primarch in a 40k codex? Low.

Books!
It's actually very well thought out, I would give it a 7 or 8 on the gouging index. People will buy the ridiculously over-priced digitial copy to get the rules early, then a few months later the paper copy. They might also buy the paper copy assuming that the typos and rule clarifications over ambiguously worded rules of the digital version will be rectified in the later release (*cough*)
If you find this unreasonable, consider that for Infinity Corvus Belli do the exact opposite of releasing the actual book first (which has new content on the inside as well as on the outside) and then release a free digital copy of the rules later on.
I really hope this is correct. I love the Nid fluff and I'm just starting a Nid army.
Fingers crossed.

You have a funny definition of "reality".
Flyers - June 2012
Before end of August 2012
Eldar dual kit. Fighter, bomber/heavy, transport. Heavy attack and transport share design
Tau fighter/gunship, size of stormtalon. new missiles options involving markerlights
Tau transport in codex
Dark eldar bomber in August
Third Necron Flyer in 2013-ish
One out of six turned out more or less true.

Aren't all the primarchs either dead/missing/entombed in the 40k universe? I would think that makes it impossible to put one of them in a 40k codex.
Not that it wouldn't be awesome to have the Russ back. I would totally start a Space Wolves army.

Wasn't that the second wave rumor, and not the "summer of flyers" rumor that predated pretre's tracking? IE completely different.

Tyranids being next in 40k is not in question, only if it is November or January/February.
I have heard rumors that it could be as far out as April. Do we have a consensus of rumor to say that Nids are next for 40K?
I didn't see a Hive Fleet Leviathan supplement listed which is strange. Is there any word on what these different hive fleets are gonna be sporting to make them unique? Could this also be the way the Nids get to expand FOC by adding different allied hive fleets much in the same way space marines get to?

Good job as always.
But I wouldn't really give him a point for saying there will not be a plastic Thunderhawk. It's a... slippery slope.

Well, to be fair, there have been several people who have come out and said there would be one over the years, so I was giving him points for taking a stand, even if it isn't a strong one.

Well Russ headed off with the 13th GC and then his background/whereabouts go a bit cold.
The 13th seem to pop up here and there to assist some imperial group under threat of destruction but Russ is not with them or at least spotted.
Be good if the new Codex gave some sort of pointer to his whereabouts even if not with the 13th or captured by Chaos.
His promise to the Wolves that he will return when the chapter is in mortal peril is also an interesting play/ bit of fluff.
I look forward to the FW version of him. Should be awesome!
If anyone else has any background info on his whereabouts feel free to chime in.

I don't see how anyone else would have extra background on Leman Russ... Everything we know is in the books. GW wants the story to be vague and that's how you write decent back story is you leave it up to the players to imagine where he has been.
Although it's hard to imagine the Primarchs who went into the warp as still alive.. the ones who didn't go into the warp couldn't be bothered to stay alive and the warp is a lot more dangerous!
