Madison. I took it again and swapped my answers on all the 50/50 questions, and got Washington.

They're both cool and all, but I really wanted to be Franklin.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

Well duh he liked arguing on the internet! How else was he gonna complain to the Parliament about taxation without representation? Send messages on a boat and wait six months

And yes, that's who I got too.

This actually makes me wonder why James Madison isn't a more popular guy. Lots of love out there for Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, and the various Adams', but James Madison always seems to me like he's in the second row for the man who created our beloved governmental frameworks.

Not for the first time I disagree with you on a historical matter , but I've been reading a lot of books about John Adams recently, and my conclusion is that no John Adams = no America, at least from the political side.

Nah I've read books to that effect as well. What I mean is that Madision was big in creating the constitution, and his politics would be much appreciated by modern Republicans as well, so that he's on the less popular side kind of surprises me.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
