Well been working on a few things lately. Scrambled to get 35 plague monks painted and I did it in the chinciest way....army painter army green spray then metal and skin. Wash greens with camoshade and wash skin with earthshade and then I washed metal with nuln oil.

I will post pictures of that soon...they aren't based yet. I am just not happy with how they turned out but I dislike the plague monk models so I decided not to spend any more time than I had to on them. Just needed the 35 to push the furnace. I'll eventually go back over them and highlight the robes, paint the bone and ropes and bandages but right now its far from a priority just not feeling those models lol

Anyways here's what I did want to show you. I refuse to spend $130 on 6 Jezzails that is only 120 points game wise. I like the models but the price is just stupid so I thought I'd build my own.
Used kroot guns, kroot arms and shoulder pads and then some greenstuff. Put them on these bases because they are way cheaper than the gw ones.

I think I'm going to add some cork for rocks in front of some of the models then ill base them and maybe put a few giant rats on the bases as well. Just wasn't sure how to do the pavices/shields so rocks will do and there's not much space for another slave model as a rat shield haha

I tried doing the Kroot conversion too. It turned out OK. Gave me a good chance to practice doing green stuff hands. Yours turned out far more proportional than mine. many of my conversions have long arm syndrome =P

Nice Plog. You've certainly been making solid progress with your army, churning out minis at a decent rate.

Great work.

I'm glad you tried the kroot conversion! It's a nice way to get some decent looking jezzails for cheap (especially if you already have a tau army)

I have been out for a while living life and put my hobbies to the side but I'm going to be starting to paint again soon!

Thanqoul and Boneripper is next!

Hey mate. Great work on all of these rats. The Jezzail conversions look nicely effective as well.
