Physical is always better. I hate digital. Feels like a middle finger to all their customers that don't have a tablet or speak something other than English.

Well that just isn't true.....

Not to mention you can read all of their ePub Codexes on a Kindle, something you can easily get for less than the cost of the codex itself.

I don't own a kindle or have any use for one. Same goes for tablets. I don't buy things just to have them. It would sit on a shelf and never be used except when I need to look at the rule book. On top of that I wouldn't be comfortable taking an expensive electronic device to local game night. That thing would get broke or stolen in a heart beat.

I prefer books. They don't need to be recharged and there not as delicate as a tablet. I dislike buying digital on anything. I don't care if I have to drive an hour to the store I'll do it the the next time I'm in town. The only time I bought digital was minecraft and that was only because they didn't offer it any other way back then. Plus I already had a computer so it didn't need anything extra. Still felt like pulling teeth.

I think he was trying to get across the point that you can get a kindle for 30-40 on Amazon.

I think GW will lose out on sales by not selling physical copies. If I'm buying a book I want a physical copy.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

pdf backups? Last time I checked GW won't let you do that in there disclaimer.

Much as they might like to, GW doesn't control worldwide copyright law.

While it varies from country to country, in some places it is perfectly legal to scan a book that you own in order to create a digital copy for your own use. Whether or not the publisher wants you to do that is irrelevant.

They amended the copyright law here in Oz for just that purpose a few years back... Prior to that, it had been technically illegal to put music that you own onto an ipod. Now, scanning your own books, ripping your own CDs, and videotaping shows on TV to watch later are all finally legal.

ebooks are quite convenient compared to lugging around your codex + rulebook.

I'll probably invest in a tablet sometime early next year simply for the easy of transport.
