Ok @the three last people, yes I know about quantum shielding. The vehicle is appropriately priced for that.
I am not trying to argue or trying to disagree on purpose it's that I am not understanding certain responses because I don't think they understand what I am trying to do.
One thing that's bothering me is that people keep saying it has fire power, against fliers yes it does against ground units it has either two str 6 AP 4 krak grenade shots OR 2 small blast str 3 AP - frag grenades. Yes it's good if it gets into close combat, it's not that fast it's only an extra 3 inches in it's run phase and actually if he rolls 3 or less it's as if he rolled a 6 or less total to run, his role is to be able to do other stuff after fliers are destroyed then to just sit around fiddling with his thumbs like other dedicated anti fliers vehicles.
Also I do not own, will not play or ever have space wolves. So I am not making this for me, person who doesn't read other posts to keep caught up on in the conversation.

The "AA" guns still shoot perfectly fine on skimmers, that means every armor piece of 4 armies, plus a few of the others.
Against other targets, its powerful enough that even snap shooting it for a lucky hit once is a while would do good.
I understand you want to keep it doing something if there is no air units, but right now it just does too much. its a "must take" because no matter what list will drop against him-he WILL be good, if not great.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

Are you going to make one of these for your friend once we get the rules down?
If you want it to be good enough for him to use, tell us what you play (I'm assuming eldar) and we'll tell you how to make it rapetastic enough that he'll switch from his pure infantry list to using vehicles.

Ok, I can definitely see that. I'll probably work off that other guys idea about it being in the fast attack slot
Would it matter if I took off the twin linking decreased his side armor to 12 and made his points 155 and he has 3 attacks?
Maybe I will re haul the whole thing.

Jokes on you, Space Wolves can't get Mortis Contemptors, and I'm pretty sure the Space Wolf variant can't switch it's fist out!

BoomWolf wrote:The ironclad can't touch air units, not can he blast from range. he MUST come close to get anything done, and in assault range its not hard to reach his rear.
Necron tanks, even if we forget the quantom only works until you pen them once (because lets be honest, they are all OPEN TOPPED. a single pen, likely came from AP2 or even 1, meanes its likely dead.), does not bring his front AV13 when assaulted, its hit on its rear AV11. assault units should be able to drop it, krak grenades can take it, even crisis suits got a chance to punch it down-not to talk on if they happen to pack melta bombs, then its DEAD.
The dreadwolf is, at the moment, durable, got ranged kill power, melee kill power, requires heavy firepower to take down, or really good assault units, and can threat any type of target in the game. and should the need arise, it can move pretty quick.
Even the annihilation barrage, a well-known offender in the "too good at everything" role, is at least vulnerable to assault. the current wolf requires pretty much dedicated anti-tank units to even have a chance of taking him, and unlike other super-durable, it also packs enough firepower and assault power that ignoring it is not an option.
Basically, it will become the Space Wolf version of the Riptide insomuch that every schmuck WAAC will purchase three for every list. Ok, cool, idea looks neato on paper, but the question hasn't been satisfied yet. Why do the Sons of Russ need a giant wolf walker that's good at everything? Why do they need a monstrosity that is: durable, got ranged kill power, melee kill power, requires heavy firepower to take down, or really good assault units, and can threat any type of target in the game. and should the need arise, it can move pretty quick.
Durable? Ironclads. Land Raiders. Marines in 3+ armor. Vindicators.
Ranged kill power? Long Fangs. Vindicators. Tanks tanks tanks.
Heavy Firepower/dedicated assault units to take down? Marines in 3+ armor. Land Raiders. Ironclads. Terminators in all flavors. Blood Claws. Grey Hunters. Wolf Priests and their psychic shenanigans.
Threatens any type of unit in the game? Long Fangs. Wolf Priests.
Moves quickly? The above units in a dedicated transport. Thunderwolf Cavalry. Land Speeders.
The Derpwolf is not needed; it only seeks to add to the Space Wolves' incredible repertoire of goofy names and wolf-fetishism. There's no need to shoehorn this thing into the Space Wolves' lineup because everything it can do is already occupied by another, more logical choice. This is trying to fit too many good things into a single model. It is far too killy with little weaknesses; now imagine fighting three of them.

Ok you are right I was not thinking about fighting three of them, yeah that is different, that's why I am going to remake it.
But please it does not have shooting power, yes against fliers and skimmers but against everything else it has 2 krak or frag GRENADES not missiles and if you rely on snap shots that is not an absolute it's a nice thing that can happen but the chances are slim.
It is really powerful in cc though.

Lol I just now saw this post I missed it before, sorry wasn't ignoring you, well I remade with some drastic changes some not.
Here it goes:
Wolf walker: AV 11 all around, runs an additional 1d6, armed with an assault grenade launcher that counts as one weapon but can fire either two krak or frag grenades and if not destroyed he charges at initiative through cover, a turret mounted gatling gun that has sky fire which is twin linked heavy 3 str 6 AP 5 shots. He is Ws 4, BS 4, I 4, and 3 attacks at str 5 with rending and three hull points.
He is a fast attack option.
Special rules is move through cover and if he suffers a crew stunned result on a roll of 4+ it's crew shaken, if he suffers an immobilized result on a 6+ it goes to weapon destroyed. If he suffers two weapon destroyed results on his front claws he becomes imobilised, he has 5 targetable weapons 2 ranged guns and 1 jaw and 2 claws
His points cost is 105
Obviously if more then two weapon destroyed results he is wrecked so no need to add that in rules. There that should be much better. Is he to high costed though? I know he is flimsy as heck but has a chance to stay mobile.
