Their story in the old VC book about trying to set up their own empire, losing it to orcs, then being hunted by both other races and their own kind is really wonderful. The Neferata book has the rise and fall of their line - and in her part in it

Grom the paunch of misty mountain. He got goblins (Goblins!) to rampage across the empire and eventually lay siege to a city on ulthan. Guarded by elves. Of whome he killed a bunch.
He also got into the book of grudges twice. Once for defacing a statue of Grungi to make it look like him, and once for the poor craftsmanship.

Anyone human or previously human that has interaction with Skaven.
The Skaven characters themselves are mostly meh with some decent stuff, but really the awesomeness in Skaven is not in the characters, but the society (which, to be honest, is exactly as it should be.)
Skaven are like an amazing catalyst for other characters to shine or get dragged down by. They do things as a society that tend to affect other races in huge ways, most often without claiming credit for it.
The whole King Alcadizaar / Nagash debacle is a prime example.

Malus Darkblade is a personal favourite as I really enjoy the novels about him (I must have read them all 3 times and have just picked up the first one again).
Also Archaon. He makes Abbadon look like a loser when you look at the success he has had in comparison.
I also like Grimgor Ironhide, he is the most badass Orc Warlord alive and went toe to toe with Crom the Conqueror. Plus he has a cool model.

Brainless Zombie

Thats really a hard question for me. Nagash is so bad ass, and he got great coverage in his books.
Mannfred could use his own series just about his turning to his adventures when he was abroad studying magic, all the way to his rise, fall, and rise again. But i really hate that new fluff for him in the vc book where he brings Nagash the High elf. I'm more of a fan of the first VC book, when he had the story that ran through multiple pages, and when he rose to Felix and Gortex in his castle, he could feel the presence of Nagash far to the south of him and just sneered like "I dont give a "

Mighty Vampire Count

Most Vampires hate/ fear Nagash for several reasons -
He wants to kill everything which means Vampires can't survive - the only ones that seem to "get" him are the Necrarchs and they are a) insane and b)often followers of Nagash - or even controlled by him.
He also wants them to serve him in this great task and again Vampires are almost without exception arrogant and don't take kindly to being told what to do - especically if its going to lead to their own destruction.
I also was not a fan of the Mannfred kidnaps the Pheonix Kings daughter but then drops her off with Nagash - what really........the story does continue in the High Elf Codex.........
I loved the fact that Middenheim is saved by not just the Emperor and his Elf/Dwarf allies but the undead armies of Manfred - makes it all a bit more complicated.
I am also looking forward to seeing if Neferata and Mannfred meet...................

Sigvald the magnificent!!
I love how his vanity is represented in the game with the stupidity rule.
"HALT! The wind has blown my hair out of place! Servants, attend me!!"
"My lord the enemy is before us, we must...."
