Subject: 20 Games - Journey To Perfection - "The Rise of Vect" - Game 1 Nov 29th
My first game with just Coteaz turned out a tie, but I was happy with just Coteaz & no Vect. I got lucky rolling for Coteaz' powers & got the ignore cover from shooting + prescience. My plasma cannon servitor did some work against objective holding space marines. Hope to experiment a little more this week.

Well Game 2 was against CSM. And I tabled him in 5...
Important thing to note. The sieze falied twice.
tactically the only real threats were abby, the forgefiend and the helldrake... took out his long range AT the forgefiend before he took out a second ravager. abby deepstruck in and was focussed down by all the venoms with his terminator retinue and the hellturkey actually got snap shot in the rear end by a ravager.
All in all a great game for the vect list.
And I have now, played games 3, 4 and 5.
Vs JetseerStar - Sieze succeeded
Vs Space Marines - Sieze succeded
Vs Deamons - Sieze failed
All in all a good couple of games to test the capability of the list.
So, I have altered my list you can see the new version HERE.
Tactically I have made a few changes that make more sense for the overall feel of the style of army. Some Eldar allies provide much needed support in the form of divination and some more tactical flexibility, cheap, fast scoring unit in the form of eldar jetbikes (as well as their incredible reach) and a unit of scatterlaser warwalkers to scout, outflank and actually act as more of a firemagnet than my ravagers.

Thoughts?
2 things: I really like your batreps and I really like Vect. As a matter of fact, I just got into DE specifically to play Vect with my Eldar. As to your list of eldar allies, I'm thinking that if you tossed Bright Lances on those Warwalkers you'd be a little better off in the Anti-tank department. You have tons of anti-infantry with the poisoned shots, but if those 2 Ravagers go down you have no tank busters (I know there's lots of Blasters, but they're so short-ranged that it seems they may not get to their target alive). Another thought is to throw Grisly Trophies on one of the vehicles to help your Jetseer pass his Psychic tests. I can't wait to see more batreps.
Here's my Eldar with DE allies list and strategy, I've only gotten one game in so far but it resulted in thrashing Chaos Demons with Chaos Marine allies.
Spoiler:
Eldar:
HQ 1- Farseer with MoTLG, jetbike, spear
ELITES
10- Striking Scorpions with Exarch with Scorpion's Claw and Monster Hunter, Wave Serpent (holofields, shuriken cannon, scatter laser)
TROOPS
7- Dire Avengers in a Wave Serpent (holofields, shuriken cannon, scatter laser)
3- Jetbikes with Cannon
3- Jetbikes with Cannon
Dark Eldar:
HQ Vect on the Dais of Destruction
ELITES
5- Trueborn with 2 Splinter Cannons on a Venom with 2 Cannons
TROOPS
5- Kabalites with a Blaster in a Venom with 2 Cannons
9- Kabalites with a Blaster on the Dais
HEAVY
1- Ravager with 3 Dark Lances, Flickerfield, Night Shields, Grisly Trophies
The jetseer guides/presciences the ravager/dais until tanks/transports are popped, then moves on to guiding the venom's Cannons. Grisly Trophies make sure he doesn't fail any psychic tests. Scorpions camp out and wait until big papa Vect can link up with them, and go assault something (first game, the scorps were whittled down to 4 from shooting before Vect got to them, but got charged by Kharn and 15 Berzerkers. Vect killed Kharn, then killed the Champion, then killed 7 Berzerkers before going down. I love this guy). Wave Serpents are there for more anti-infantry, and ghetto version of Anti-air (laser lock is a beautiful thing)
