Question 1: Allow Escalation or Not?
I say allow it, but cap the Lord of War unit at 25% like the
HH rules do. Even if tournaments creep up a bit in size the more difficult pills to swallow would be disallowed for tournaments.
Question 2: Allow Strongpoint Assault or not?
I don't like the
AV 15 for competitive games, but would love to be able to slip a defense in depth onto the field. Hopefully the rules will be playable.
Question 3: Digital Codexes/supplements
Yes. Sister players like myself already have been hit hard enough....
Question 4: Allow/Disallow Formations
I'd allow them, but make them Primary detachment specific.
Question 5: In search of a "tournament" force org chart.
Kind of tough here, a decent Screamerstar list can generally get by with a very small footprint on the
FOC. I'd say that most of the powerful builds in 6ed are troop minimal, maybe up the troop requirement or require two troops then match each
EL/
FA/
HS with an additonal troop unit? This wouldn't hurt Eldar/Serpent spam though...
Question 6: 2+ rerollables - what to do about them?
Certainly wouldn't ban the Grimoire. Perhaps remove psyker saves from the re-roll? Or un-
FAQ the comdemnor and let it PoW each psyker in the unit.....

Yes, I used the screamerstar with Brandon at Da Boyz doubles and won, and yes, it really wasn't the most fun thing to do either for my opponents or even for ourselves. But how the heck do you change a core game mechanic like that for a single unit, without also having to do so for any other unit. So what happens if a terminator-armored model gets a 2+ re-rollable somehow, etc. And the fact is, that the screamerstar (and the jetseer council) has counters. In addition, I think that these are the most likely to be minimized by the upcoming Tyranids codex.
Will be interesting to see what impact Nids and Orks will have. Removing psyker saves from any re-roll would drastically reduce the amount of units that would get the 2+.
