A couple people had to be hospitalized but everyone ended up OK thankfully.
How the feth do you accidentally make Mustard Gas in a dishwasher?
I believe he meant " a person who washes the dishes in the restaurant accidentally made mustard gas."

Hey who hasn't accidentally made some toxic gas by accidently mixing ammonia and bleach in the sink after cleaning the house...
Disclaimer: I personally do not use ammonia to clean, had a friend that did and she did the above once or twice and almost killed her cat.

However, in the coming days, if you see on the news a someone has gassed himself and possibly his family in some failed science experiment. That'll be me!
Keep an eye out.
It's the pool chlorine that's the dangerous bit. This stuff has to be KEPT dry and out of direct sunlight (in solution, in the pool, it's different) and there are restrictions on what can be shipped with it.
Just like Fertiliser and diesel fuel. It's supposed to only be carried by PETROL (gasoline) powered trucks here, as if there's an accident, spilled petrol and fertiliser isn't anywhere near as bad as a mixture of spilled diesel and fertiliser. The number of times I've seen diesel powered trucks hauling the stuff though ... They're bombs waiting to go off.

I'd never clean with ammonia. After you raise chickens you quickly learn to hate that smell.
But nothing has the squeeky clean smell of bleach.

My sister used to like using ammonia to clean up after her cat - but it always had the effect of making the cat 'mark' more (ammonia and cat pee smell pretty close to a cat.).
There's not a lot you need ammonia or even bleach for in household cleaning - the fumes from bleach will do more damage to your lungs than most moulds, for example.
