I want Tyranids to be a playable unique and interesting army. Never going to happen but I can still hope...

The 4th codex had EVERYTHING I could have possibly wanted for Tyranids and before people start complaining about how awesome Carnifex were back then I am all for them getting changed. But the ability to morph units and make them truely adaptable was awesome. The 5th codex took away all of the unique attributes of the army and turned them into basic statlines without much ability to change units.

Your options include the statline, adrenal glands, and toxin sacs. That made for an extremely boring and repetitive codex which is why it blows my mind when people complain about Nids players spaming Tervigons and Flyrants. People spam those two because they are the only thing remotely competitive about the codex as it is.

From the leaks I am seeing, if they are real and I am talking about some of the blurry scans that have been seen floating around, I have little faith that anything has been improved with this codex. I am going to wait to pass judgement as always but I have little hope that GW is going to make the codex awesome, I am expecting a Dark Angels or Chaos Space Marines, not a Tau or Eldar. I'm not even talking about power level, just in terms of how well the codex is written, how the rules play, and how unique the units are.
