Great report! I love the lesser used Necron stuff. Monoliths are *not* bad at 200 pts.

But! Can't Scarabs not wound Riptides with Str3 vs T7? I was going to use them as a bit of an anti-Riptide tech at a local event but decided against it because I couldn't hurt them unless Zandy put on furious charge for a turn.

Riptides are actually T6.

It's the R'varna that is T7. (And the R'varna is stupid.)

Awesome batrep! Thanks for sharing your game. Were the marker drones for the Tau player the FW marker drones, or were the modeled into marker drones? Also, did you guys know what each other were playing beforehand? I ask because being a Tau player myself, I would not normally run 3 Iontides. I usually go with 2 Bursttides and1 Iontide, and thats if I can fit 3 Riptides in an army at all.

Thanks, glad you liked it!

We brought lists blind to the table. My Junkticrons are easily my softest list though, it is for fun. Steve is a casual player that is just turning the corner into a competitive player so I thought it would be more fun for both of us to run a list that would make the game fair and challenging for us both! Since he beat me though, it's time to up my game and bring a better list next time

What would you bring next time if you were going to play a more competitive list with Necrons?

Also, I have shared part (so far) of my interesting game that was a Tau v. Tau match. If you want to check out my batrep, look at my threads.
