But I'd say ratlings, I never leave home without my inbred space midgets , other than that, the normal infantry platoon for guard, everything beats them in a straight up match most of the time, but balls of steel they have .

A trygon, especially if it's a prime.

Lookswise it's a draw between the Dark Vengance Chosen and the new Sternguard.

Gamewise it's a win for the sternguard. They served me well.

Game wise its my Dire Avengers. I find my 10 man squads with PW/SS have served me so well. I also dig they way they look.
The model I always pick up and want to play the most are my Striking Scorpions. I love how they look. My absolute favorite GW model. Game wise however not so much. Hard to field a S3 T3 assault unit in 6th.

okay, Im gonna go out and say Ork Kommandos.

Not necessarily in game-terms, but fluff, application, and models. I love the Blood Axe tribe, and when I play orks, I always include a full unit of Kommandos.

Personally I don't roll morale for shooting casualties, so I don't know what you're talking about.

My favourite unit is my Storm Eagle. I think it looks cute and it is about the only flyer my SW can field.

Daemon Prince. I absolutely adore to model, and has taken me from playing C:CSM to C:CD Tzeentch flying circus. I have a very vivid imagination and when he gets into combat with a squad of Fire Warriors (my main buddy plays Tau exclusively) I just imagine him ripping apart the entire squad one by one... It's very therapeutic.

My favorit is without a doubt my Grey Hunters, no other unit has ever come close to rak up the amount of kills these lads have done.

Master of Ordinance - That boy has knocked out tanks, squads of infantry and buildings, its very fun to call in indirect fire at will

In terms of actual physical model, Grey Knight Terminators.

In terms of gameplay, either Sternguard or Broadsides.

Combination of both, Plague Marines.

Sternguards. They have a lot of options, are fun to make and are totally badass

Fluff: Deathwing. The best of the best of the best.

In game: IG infantry Platoon. Not only sheer versatility and the awesome feel that others have mentioned, but if anyone else who can being a troops choice with a potential of 15+ heavy and special weapons, 100+ bodies and more small arms than you can shake a bayonet at, all in one FOC slot, I'd like to see it....

Before drowning it in Guardsmen bodies...

Those Ork Cheerleaders which cause much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

For cool, looks, and overall love factor, I would have to say Deathwing Terminators. They are the reason I play Dark Angels. But they are also incredibly mediocre.

In terms of favorite unit, I would probably say burna boyz. I tend not to field them a lot right now, but I used to have a great time. They have resulted in some of the most overkill hilarious moments I have ever had.

Tie between Farseers and Tac Marines. For both fluff and gameplay.

Lictors for me too. Still have my talons crossed that they'll be a good unit a couple of weeks from now. I'll make sure they hit the table from time to time even if they're not, but it would be nice for them to actually be badasses on the board and not just in my head.

The techmarine with the Thunderfire cannon is one of my favorite looking figures ever and their game play isn't too shabby either!

Excorcists. I love those things. They never fail me.

S4...Scorpion Chainsword is +1 S AP6

If I was in the 40k universe I would aspire to be a Scorpion Exarch. Lost in the way of the shadows.

I also love a 10-man squad of Dire Avengers with PW/SS. They always get the job done and look cool doing it. But my absolute favorite has to be the good old Kabalite Warrior. "Oh you have a T8 wraithknight? Here is some poison in your face"

The only problem I have with Kabbies is I rarely actually get to SEE them on the field.

Chaos Lord! Doesn't matter what mark. So versatile and great wargear options.

Ten man squad of Sternguard with eight combi-flamers, two heavy flamers and a LC, led by Chaplain Cassius. Fluff wise, it's awesome, games wise, still awesome. Model wise? I used converted Tyrannic War Veterans, the plastic Sternguard and a converted Chronus, heaped with Tyranid trophies, DW pauldrons, a spare TWV pauldron and some cool scopes and stuff.

Very tough question...
However, I'd have to go with Heralds of Slaanesh, so cheap yet so killy! Make 'em a bit more expensive and bam, you have an assassin that buffs an entire squad!

I would have to say either rail broadsides or rail hammerheads. How do solve your problems? Railgun. What problem?
