Got my Ravenstar order and started working on the BSG civilian ships. They are pretty cheap if you get the big lot of 30 ships for $65.
The castings could be quite a bit better. Most of the molds seem past their prime. Expect to spend some time on cleanup.
Once cleaned up they make quite a nice varied selection of ships.

Here is a (sort of) review and some pics.

Started working on the civilian ships and space stations. The civilian ships are pretty cheap if you get the big lot of 30 ships for $65. Even if you chuck the smaller ones (second pic), they are still only $4 each.

Civilian ships with BFG cruiser for size comparison. A similar number of these ships are being Nurglized.

Smaller civilian ships with BFG cruiser and Cobra for size comparison. These smaller ships seem less useful and there is more cleanup needed on them. Would work a system ships perhaps.

Space stations with BFG cruiser for size comparison. Cylon five-rayed star is unmodified. The other two are lightly modified and are still waiting for me to figure out what to use for gothic style city detail at the centers.

I LOVE those civilian ships! Might have to design something similar... By the way, will you be Nurglefying some of that stuff?

Yes. Quite a few of those ships come in sets of two, so half of them are in the process of being Nurgleized.

Check out my Gallery (and vote, please)! I am beginning to upload new pics of my ships from BFG and FSA as I finish them.

Looking through this thread... I saw Armand's new models here https://www.shapeways.com/model/2147356/cargo-fuel-heavy-transports.html?modelId=2147356&materialId=61

(Big fan of his work in general and have bought from him before)

I swear I saw some concept art or something that looked similar to this? Or am I dreaming - some issue of warp rift or something maybe?

Whats the print quality of the Cobras? I've been intrigued by all the BFG stuff on shapeways but haven't placed an order yet.

The stuff I've seen from Grimdarkbits that timdp bought, check it here. But I'd imagine they'd look better with a layer of paint on them!

I've had something similar with my Absolutist Light Cruiser

Overall I would recommend - high print quality requiring minimal clean up (I have only bought Frosted Ultra Detail / Ultra Details).

The cobra's - for the price are some of the best ships on the entire shapeways site.

They do need some work to clean up, so keep that in mind.
