I traded some extra bits and things for another M24 and this LCVP

At first i wasn't sure what to do with it, then i remembered reading something about them being used as gunboats by the french and sure enough,

Now i just need to find some figures i can use as fusiliers marins to accompany my riverboat as soon as im done converting it.

I'm from the future. The future of space

Weathering that is going to be fun

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Found this floating around with some old 40k stuff and decided to re-purpose it as a trench section at dien bien phu. Still a work in progress but i like how its coming out so far.

I re-based my radio team to try and give them a more vietnam feel.

Have you ever lost your radio man in the terrain on the table top?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It's been a while, and hopefully i dont get hit with thread necro but i do have some stuff that I've completed for my ever growing indochina forces.

Since I have 30 paratroops to form the core of the airborne platoon I've decided now it's time to get them some heavier weapons. Red Star just posted pictures of their soon to be released 75mm RCLs which is exciting, but till then the paras will have to rely on this light mortar team.

I also finished up another Vietminh squad and some heavy stuff for their platoon as well

Not pictured are a couple extra LMGs and rifle men to flush out my other squads of vietminh.

I converted 20 warlord marines a while back to use as generic French troops and to add to that are these Warlord chindits which i plan to use as Fusiliers Marins or as Foriegn Legion

I also have 2 halftracks for my generic/FFL troops to ride in

Lovely stuff, man. I've been wanting to get into this period, but I've never gotten around to it.

Maybe it's just the pictures, but their skin is looking a bit... yellow. Almost Simpsons-yellow. I'd probably look into some kind of bronze fleshtone for the Indochina soldiers.

Either way, great to see some stuff from this period

When i painted the first couple the only flesh color i had on hand was vallejo basic skin tone, which is about as Caucasian a skin tone as one can get, i put a brown wash on the figures and usually dry brush the entire figure khaki but with these guys i tried dry brushing their skin with GW's balor brown which did yellow their skin a bit but the picture seems to really bring it out.

If you look at this picture their skin isnt quite as yellow as some of previous photos make them seem

since i now have two playable forces i thought i would try my hand at terrain and here's my first two attempts,

my original plan had a lot more aquarium plant foliage but as i was gluing it down i realised that too much foliage would make it very difficult to paint so im hoping the bushes make up for it a little. They aren't glued down yet though as i'm still a little iffy about how well they look.
